For Visitors with Hearing Impairments
Most festival films are screened in their original language with English subtitles; German subtitles are occasionally provided. The language of the subtitles is listed in the program information for each film. Please note that these are NOT subtitles for deaf or hard-of-hearing audiences (SDH).
For Visitors with Visual Impairments
Unfortunately, audio descriptions are not available for the festival films.
Guide dogs are permitted at all festival venues.
Wheelchair Accessibility
Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm
Four designated wheelchair spaces are available in the Mousonturm Saal. They are marked accordingly in the seating chart and can be selected when purchasing tickets.
Ground Floor: screening room / restaurant / stalls / toilets
Step-free entrance to the ground floor is possible through the café. This entrance is located in the yard on the left side of the building. In the screening room, the front row has step-free access and has space for wheelchairs, for example.
Two separate accessible restrooms are located to the left and to the right of our merchandise stand in the foyer (seat height 60 cm, stall size 200 x 165 cm, door width 95 cm). Grab rails and transfer support are available. The emergency call system is currently out of order.
1st Upstairs Floor: Studio 1 and 2 / stalls
The 1st upstairs floor has step-free access via elevator (cabin dimensions 115 x 135 cm, door width 90 cm). The elevator is located at the rear entrance, which can be reached through the yard on the left side of the building (past the café entrance, then turn right).
Parking
A designated accessible parking space is located directly in front of the entrance at Waldschmidtstraße 4. Additional designated accessible parking spaces are available in the yard of the neighboring GDA residential complex. Accessible parking spaces and an elevator are also available in the paid Mousonturm underground parking garage.
Produktionshaus NAXOS / naxos.Kino / NAXOS 2nd upstairs floor
The cinema, all market stalls, and the bars have step-free access. Please ask our staff at the cinema entrance for step-free access to the screening room. The cinema has general admission without seating reservations. Wheelchair spaces are available in the front row.
A separate accessible restroom is located on the ground floor of the foyer behind the bookshelves (room size 2.60 x 2.60 m, door width 90 cm, 90 cm clearance on both sides of the toilet, seat height 48 cm, sink and tilting mirror available).
The exhibition space NAXOS 2. OG on the 2nd upstairs floor does not have step-free access and can only be reached via stairs.
Kino des DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum
The ticket counter on the ground floor as well as the cinema and accessible restroom on the downstairs basement level have step-free access via elevator. The elevator is located at the museum’s right-side entrance (elevator cabin 110 x 140 cm, door width 90 cm).
The DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum cinema has two wheelchair spaces, which can be reserved by phone through the museum: +49 69 961 220 – 220.

Cinéma Arthouse Kino (Lumière and Studio screening rooms)
The Lumière screening room is located on the ground floor and has step-free access. The Studio screening room is located in the downstairs basement level and is unfortunately does not have step-free access.
The cinema does NOT have a wheelchair accessible restroom.
Eldorado Arthouse Kino
There is a step, approximately 8 cm high, at the entrance. From there, the sitting area is accessible.
The cinema does NOT have an accessible wheelchair restroom.
Mal Seh’n Kino
The cinema and café are located on the ground floor and have step-free access via a ramp.
Access to the screening room is only possible with wheelchairs up to a maximum width of 70 cm.
The SCHAUT! exhibition space is located on the 1st upstairs floor and unfortunately does not have step-free access.
A separate restroom is available in the café (sliding door width 80 cm, room size 1.05 x 1.80 m, clearance beside the toilet 130 cm, seat height 42 cm, corner sink height 83 cm). The restroom does NOT comply with DIN standards. The key is available at the counter.
Pupille – Kino in der Uni
The cinema is located on the 1st upstairs floor and has step-free access via elevator (door width 89.5 cm). Please contact the reception desk to use the elevator.
An accessible restroom is located on the 1st upstairs floor opposite the screening room. The key is available at the reception desk.

The premises at Internationales Theater Frankfurt including the restrooms have step-free access. A restroom with grab rails is available in the building; for access, please ask the staff.
Theater Die Käs
The premises at Theater Die Käs including the restrooms have step-free access. A wheelchair accessible restroom is available.
Saalbau Bornheim (Rose Schlösinger-Raum and Bertha-Pappenheim-Raum)
The Rose Schlösinger Raum and the Bertha Pappenheim Raum are located on the 1st upstairs floor and have step-free access via elevator.
An accessible restroom (door width 90 cm) is located on the 3rd upstairs floor and can be reached via elevator.
Dr. Arthur Pfungst Foundation
The event space at the Dr. Arthur Pfungst Foundation is located on the 4th upstairs floor and has step-free access via elevator.
