映画祭プロフィール

日本映画祭「ニッポン・コネクション」は世界最大の日本映画プラットフォームであり、毎年初夏に、ドイツのフランクフルト市内の複数の会場で6日間にわたり開催されます。映画とカルチャーを融合したユニークなプログラムでは、日本文化の伝統的側面から現代的側面まで、幅広いイベントを紹介しています。第26回ニッポン・コネクション映画祭は、2026年6月2日から6月7日までドイツ・フランクフルトで開催されます。

2025年には2万人を越える来場者が映画祭に参加しました。当映画祭は2000年に設立され、現在はNPO法人ニッポン・コネクションによって、主にボランティアで活動するチームによって運営されています。2026年の映画祭は、ヘッセン州科学研究芸術文化大臣、フランクフルト市長、及び在フランクフルト日本国総領事館の後援を受けています。

映画プログラム

日本は世界で最も革新的で多様性に富んだ映画文化を持つ国の一つです。ニッポン・コネクションでは毎年、短編映画、ドキュメンタリー、アニメーション、劇映画を含む約140作品（2026年実績）を上映し、現在の日本映画を幅広く紹介しています。その多くは、ドイツ初上映、ヨーロッパ初上映、日本国外初上映、あるいは世界初上映作品です。

また、毎年大勢の監督、俳優、あるいはプロデューサーなどの映画制作者が来場し、自ら作品を紹介します。

映画祭では、ニッポン・ライジングスター賞、ニッポン・シネマ賞、ニッポン・ヴィジョンズ審査員賞、ニッポン・ヴィジョンズ観客賞、ニッポン・ドックス賞、ニッポン・ストーリーテリング賞、ニッポン・アニメーション・ショート賞の7つの賞を設けています。

カルチャープログラム

映画上映に加え「ニッポン・カルチャー」部門では、テイスティング、料理教室、ワークショップ、パフォーマンス、展示、レクチャー、パネルディスカッション、コンサート、さらには子ども向けプログラムまで、80を超える多彩なイベントを開催しています。

Nippon Food & More

映画祭では飲食面も充実しており、多数のバーやフードスタンドで、日本のお酒、寿司、ラーメンをはじめとするさまざまな日本料理を楽しむことができます。また、物販ブースでは、書籍、映画関連商品、工芸品なども販売されています。2026年には、メイン会場である Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm および Produktionshaus NAXOS にて、約50の飲食店・出展者が参加予定です。
